Letter from the Founder
“Not everybody can be famous, but everybody was born to greatness, because greatness is determined by service.” ~ Martin Luther King
On behalf of the Share for Life Foundation, I would like to thank you for your interest in our programs. My inspiration and vision extend from the greatness of the leaders and legends who have paved the way for freedom and equality for and among all people. My passion is fueled by the need of those who live below poverty level to become self-sufficient, productive members of society. Share for Life’s goal is to provide the necessary resources, education and information to inner-city communities. It is proven that today’s youth are influenced by the negative images portrayed in music and television. Without positive role models, unfit
family upbringings and poor living environments the chance of success is doubtful.
It is simple enough for today’s media outlets to grab the attention of and entertain our youth. The real challenge is to promote and produce entertaining media that also conveys positive and accurate messages, images, and history of minorities and our ancestry so that the minds of this lost generation can wake up!
Also, there is a special need for senior citizens with the population expanding. Share for Life provides practical support and we raise awareness of the issues elderly people face. I have dedicated my life to this mission and your help is needed!
Share for Life Foundation
Founded in 2002, our mission is to help people achieve self-sufficiency, make healthy decisions, and become productive members of society.
Our unique programs are cost-effective, quality programs that have proven to be successful in making a positive difference and improving the lives of those we serve.
S4L specializes in professional and personal development training workshops that provide opportunities for youth to explore their interests and creativity. Teens build skills that support academic achievement and cultivate leadership and seniors interact in engaging interactive workshops. Our programs foster social and emotional competencies and physical well-being.
S4L provides employment opportunities to community residents where our programs are held, and arranges internships through local companies and community based organizations. In addition to providing food and beverages at our workshops, we coordinate outings and encourage sponsors to donate merchandise give-aways to the program participants.
