Share 4 Life Shining Stars Campaign

Share 4 Life’s Shining Stars Campaign recognizes and shows appreciation for the meaningful work of Community Leaders, Everyday Heroes, Athletes & Celebrities during the COVID-19 Pandemic by highlighting the great contributions they’ve made and are making to help others.

We’re launching this campaign with our Celebrity Shining Stars who are using their star power and platforms in various ways by donating funds, increasing awareness, and making a positive difference.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs

Sean Combs” – Diddy has been busy in creating new and creative ways to help people during the COVID-19 Pandemic – here are some headlines of the great works he’s doing to make a positive difference:

1.Diddy to Moderate Town Hall Meeting on ‘State of Black America & The Coronavirus’ – On Thursday, April 9th, REVOLT TV hosted a two-hour-long live town hall meeting moderated to discuss how COVID-19 is affecting the African-American community with guest speakers such as: Sen. Kamala Harris, Angela Rye, Meek Mill, the Rev. Al Sharpton, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Van Jones and more. Talking points for the town hall meeting included “dealing with the public health issue, the low-income effect, incarceration and economic relief, and the mental toll of quarantine.”

2. Sean Combs hosted an Instagram live party on Saturday, April 11 to honor healthcare and other essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic with some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

3. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs released a free meditation to help you sleep – The 25-minute recorded meditation, which is available to download for free on Audible, is designed to help listeners relax before bed. It includes a mix of deep breathing exercises, gratitude prompts, and relaxation techniques, all voiced by Combs.

4. DIDDY CREATES INITIATIVE TO HELP MINORITY-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY COVID-19 – Hip-hop media mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs announced the launch of Our Fair Share, a platform to help minority entrepreneurs and small businesses access much-needed funds brought on by the economic devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Combs also announced a partnership with the National Bankers Association, the trade group representing minority-owned financial institutions. The association will connect minority-owned banks and financial technology companies to the Our Fair Share platform and enable these banks to originate PPP loans from applicants that utilize the site.

Rihanna

Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation donates $5 million to relief efforts. RiRi’s foundation is donating $5 million to support those on the front lines of the virus response efforts, especially in marginalized communities in the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa. The foundation is partnering with organizations like Direct Relief, Partners in Health, Feeding America, the International Rescue Committee, and the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The money will also help provide protective gear for hospital workers and first responders and distribute respiratory supplies in countries like Malawi and Haiti.

 

God Shammgod

God Shammgod – is an ambassador of Share 4 Life’s in helping to bring awareness to our initiatives and campaigns, providing donations, and securing corporate sponsorships. 

1. Shammgod has donated 2,000 reusable masks sponsored by Puma to the residents of NYCHA Grant Houses in Harlem. We chose this location because at least 22 people that live in Grant Houses have died from the coronavirus, which is the highest number of deaths in the city’s public housing system.

2. Shammgod is also helping to launch Share 4 Life’s Feeding Program that is designed to provide meals to existing food pantries in NYC that have been running out of food due to more people being in need.

Oprah Winfrey

Media giant Oprah Winfrey is donating $12 million dollars to organizations helping underserved communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her charity is giving the money to groups in five cities she has called home, including of course Chicago, which will get five million dollars.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande took to her Instagram story to share that she’ll be donating to different charities, in the fight against the growing pandemic. “My heart hurts for the small business, individuals, and families affect by all of this,” she wrote in the post. “I am supporting the organizations below & if u are able to, u should too.” She went on to list the Opportunity Fund for small business relief, Give Directly for emergency cash funding, Feeding America in support of food banks across the country, the Italian Red Cross, as well as WHO’s COVID-19 solidarity response fund.
